For example: 1979 Major nuclear reactor accident on Three Mile Island, Pennsylvania; Worst U.S. aviation disaster; when 275 die in American Airlines jetliner crash in Chicago; 63 Americans are taken hostage at the American Embassy in Teheran, Iran.
